The House Boat museum also known as the Woonbootmuseum, is located on the Hendrika Maria, a former commercial sailing ship built in 1914. On board, the visitor obtains information on the nature of this special lifestyle, living on a boat that never moves, which is so unique to Amsterdam. The deck house, where the shipper's family resided, is still in place, including the cupboard bed.
